Our Community was a good-news-first, quality-of-life newspaper which was launched in Madison County, Ohio, in 2008, and which became an immediate and overwhelming success with coverage to all of the community it serves. Our Community provided countywide distribution to more than 16,000 households — more than 40,000 readers!

Our amazing and meteoric rise to the top of the local newspaper pecking order had the 170-year-old daily newspaper and the 25-year-old weekly in London, Ohio reeling. Readership for the daily plummeted to almost non-existent numbers, and scores of advertisers raced to spend their marketing dollars with Our Community.

Since launching Our Community, we received several compliments each day (literally!) from our readers, and it is not uncommon for readers we’ve never met (but who know us from our community involvement and recognize us from our photos which appear in each issue’s masthead) to approach us and tell us how glad they are we started our good-news newspaper and how they not only look forward to receiving it, but keep each week’s issue for posterity. Some readers even send copies of Our Community their relatives serving in the military in Iraq and Afghanistan. To be sure, it’s good to be us!
